Broken pipe creates 40-foot geyser in Miramar
MIRAMAR – Firefighters prevented a 40-foot geyser from getting inside a building in Miramar early Friday morning.
A San Diego police officer discovered the geyser shooting out of the ground in the 9600 block of Distribution Avenue at 1 a.m. and contacted the Miramar Fire Department. The water was cascading down the roof. But the roof drains kept the damage to a minimum.
Firefighters arrived and the shut off the valve before any water could get inside the building.
